I have had dogs in my life since I was eleven; my family kept German Shepherds. My own first dog was a GSD/Collie cross rescue from Battersea. She was nine weeks old when I adopted her and she was definitely my doggie soul mate throughout our time together. Since then I have had one other rescue dog, and have taken on two more from pups. I have partaken in Obedience, Agility, Kennel Club Good Citizen Awards and trick training with my dogs and enjoy working them using positive reinforcement and the clicker training method.
I have recently qualified as a trainer with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers and attained a Level III Accreditation ‘Principles of Dog training and Behaviour’. I now want to assist owners with their own dog training utilizing my experience and knowledge.
I look forward to meeting you and your dog very soon and having some fun in our classes!
I have owned four dogs in my life so far, two were rescues and two I have raised from pups. I can honestly say that I cannot imagine what life would be like without a canine friend, or two, at my side. Currently I have two gorgeous Cockapoo boys, Rufus and Basil, who keep me busy with competitive agility, obedience, trick training and other dog related activities that we have sampled, such as Search and Rescue and scent work. There just aren't enough hours in the day to do all of them!
I am a member of The Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT) and hold a Level lll Accreditation 'Principles of Dog Training and Behaviour'.
I have a particular interest in puppy training, having completed puppy trainer courses with Jane Killion (Puppy Culture), Nando Brown and The IMDT.
I am fascinated by dogs, their behaviour and the relationships they have with us humans. I am on a constant journey of learning and take the greatest pleasure in sharing what I have learned with others.
